and they're off...
Psalm 91:11 (New Living Translation)
"For He orders His angels to protect you wherever you go."
Freddy and the older 2 kids left for a mini mission trip to Mexico this evening. My faith and trust in my God is out the window yet again. God, help me trust in You, again. I pray that you will protect my precious family as they are out doing Your work. Touch Benjamin and Holly in a real way. I pray they will get out of their Abercrombie, iPod comfort zones and have a real encounter with You. Bring them home safely to me on Sunday. Send Your angels to protect and watch over them.

Amen about the Abercrombie and IPOD's. I pray the same for them. . .
ah, nothing like my abercrombie, ipod comfort zone. that's where i live too. but i hope that someday i can understand how other people live that are not as incredibly lucky as i am, and i hope that i can somehow change things, help things.
hopefully your family will stay safe and get that opportunity.
One of the most amazing weeks of my life was a church mission trip down to Mexico. I think I was 16 or 17 at the time. We went a couple hours south of Matamoros into this place that seemed totally third world, and we were out in the middle of nowhere. Yet I met the most amazing people, worshipped God in a language I didn't know well under a starry sky, swam in the gulf in my clothes (and consequently got the worst sunburn of my life!!). And just generally bonded with some of the best friends I've ever had or will have.
I hope your young'uns had an amazing time.
