happy new year!

Lamentations 3:22-23 (The Message)

"God's loyal love couldn't have run out,
his merciful love couldn't have dried up.
They're created new every morning.
How great your faithfulness!"

I hope everyone has an awesome New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. We are off to Freddy's brother's house (who lives on our street--I know I say that every time I mention them but I LOVE that he and Tina live on our block!!!) for sushi rolling and cape codders. YUM! Wish my trans-global bff's could be here with us...

When we were driving home from the beach yesterday we pulled off to the side of the road to by fresh Ahi from a local guy. (My husband LOVES Sashimi!)

The guy opened his blue and white Coleman cooler and filled a Glad Zip-Lock bag with a pound and a half of raw fish. Brian asked him how often he was out there selling and his reply was:

"As many times as the boys can bring in the catch!"

Enjoy your sushi and have a GREAT NEW YEAR Cara!!

wish i could have been there!! we had a great time though with some friends of ours who opened a coffee pub here in town....they had a party last night... one of the guys is cuban - we had mojo pork, black beans, and mojitos!!! have you had one of those???
woo-hoo!!! that is one delicious treat! he also introduced us to a new tradition that they do in cuba, eating 12 grapes for the new year - you make a "wish" for each grape you eat! how cool is that? we had a great time!

glad you guys had fun too!!!
