Have been experiencing this myself. Am totally in denial about having to have the presents ready by Dec. 24th. Decided not to do cards this year for the first time ever.

I went into a toy store yesterday that specialized in model trains, dolls, tin toys, etc... I wasn't even buying, but I felt the nostalgia for some of my favorite presents as a kid and walked out of that store feeling great! Of course, I know the true meaning of Christmas is not about the presents, but I was reminded of how magical it can be to be a child this time of year.
Yes, with moving comes a cloud of unhappiness and grumpiness, at least it does for me. We moved to Brenham last March and I don't think there was a smile on my face until May.
For Christmas cheer, well, if singing loud for all to hear doesn't work, then I recommend watching Merry Christmas Charlie Brown! That Linus...he's so wise! :)
