Self Worth

Matthew 10:28-31

28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. 30And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

It's amazing how many times the phrase "Do not be afraid" is in scripture and yet we still don't get it. We still worry!!!

It's okay to be cautious about things though. We need to learn to cast our cares upon him. Jesus keeps us safe. He holds us!!!

Jason likened it to a new Dad holding his new baby. Moms are usually natural with babies, but Dads consider them to be a little more fragile, but at the same time would never let them go. They have a tight enough grip to where that baby is going no where. The baby usually feels safe and grabs a hold of their Daddy. That's how God is holding us--very tightly to where we feel safe and want to grab on. It's easier not to worry when you imagine your Heavenly Father holding on to you like that.

Just thought I would throw that thought out there. . .

Sorry about getting on the worry soap box--I also feel when we know how tightly our Father holds on to us it makes us feel worth something!!!
