Forget Regionals...

...WE'RE GOING TO NATIONALS!!!!

Holly's team got a bid to the Girls' Softball National Competition at the end of July! That means that they can skip regionals in San Antonio. That also means that the team will be doing a lot of fundraisers between now and then b/c it's in Aurora, Colorado! I'm so excited and so proud of my girl. This is her first year to play an organized sport and she gets to go all the way to Nationals!

This is a pic of Holly with their 5th place trophy at State. 5th place out of 28 teams...and these girls have only been playing together as a team for less than 2 months!

p.s. Is Aurora, CO, anywhere near you, Jen? I would LOVE to get together...

Mama Like!

Nothing like good lookin', talented rock-n-rollers...one of the many reasons I married this guy!

Cut and paste the link below to see one of my favorite bands from the 80's unplugged.

Don't know if I agree--it would probably be more accurate if Freddy took the test for me.

Go #8!!!

My girl's softball team is going to State this weekend. I am so proud of her. She is an awesome 3rd baseman (basewoman?!?) and outfielder. What an arm! I think athletic girls are so cool. This ex-dancer is certainly NOT in that category!! I wish I had just an ounce of her athleticism! She got it all from her daddy. In fact, she chose the #8 b/c that was her Dad's number in high school and college.

GO STINGRAYS!

EDIT: She also turned 14 on the 19th...I can't even believe it...YIKES!
