Joey the Slaughterer

So when I was picking the kids up from school today Joey's Bible teacher (Ashlee) slips me a little note. It turns out Joey was injured during Bible class today. The note read, "Joey was injured slaughtering the prophets of Baal in our story. He may need an ice pack. But all the prophets are dead. :), Ash".

I love how Ashlee encourages the kids to act out their Bible stories.

All funniness aside (it is sooo funny!), I pray that as Joey grows he will never lose his ability to discern Good from Evil. I pray that he will continue to slaughter those false idols. And I thank God everyday for Miss Ashlee Liddell.

I couldn't send home an injured warrior, without letting you know what happened! (it had literally JUST happened when they came to get him....)
When I read him what I wrote to you, he was SO proud of it. It dried his tears right up, and he even laughed.
In all seriousness too, I love for them to act out the end of that story, where they do slaughter the prophets of Baal, because you can almost feel their faith in our powerful, victorious God growing. He gives us triumph over our enemies, even if we get a little banged up along the way.

May Joey's sensitive heart grow increasing more sensitive to Your Spirit, Lord. May He follow You with all the passion and exuberance You placed in his heart (and that you see in this awesome picture!) all the days of his life.

i love the story; i'm jealous of the gift-fostering your children must get at school.

we should talk about this sometime. are all of your kids in private school? why did you choose that?

pearlprice.com@hotmail.com if you ever care to elaborate. thx.
