Joey's Pumpkin

Look what's growing in our yard! Every year after Thanksgiving we have batting practice with our pumpkins and this is the result. I can't wait to see if any grow!

Hey! Too Cool. I remember that photo too. Loved it!

We had a random pumpkin grow in our yard once, The only thing was that it wasn't ripe to be picked until Christmas! ;P

I hope for an earlier harvest for you! I definitely want to see a before (carved) and after (smashed by a bat) shot of it.

i've grown pumpkins to the almost ripe stage. then i forget to water them. see, things don't grow well in KS...it's either too dry or too hot or too cold. not a lot of middle days. thanks for sharing. where can i find the famous smashing pumpkin photo?

ps)i responded to your blog-friend meet comment. check it. it was really a strange-cool thing to meet her on blogger first, then know and love her!

Ooh, I'm checking out the picture too.

Other random growing things - two summers ago a tomato plant appeared near an office building in the middle of campus. Very distinctly a tomato plant with little green tomatoes. I don't think they ever ripened though. But it was sort of odd and fun.
