To Mom...Love Holly
My Light
You are the light in my darkness,
My shelter in a storm.
You give me strength when I am weak,
and your love to keep me warm.
When I was hurting, lost, abused,
It was then your faith I had used.
When I was cold, depressed, and lonely,
I stayed alive by your love only.
When I felt pushed or shunned away,
it was then your friendship that made me stay.
When I was sick and felt like dying,
I knew you loved me by your crying.
I knew you loved me, knew you cared,
you did what no one else dared.
You took the time to learn and see,
just what I really am in me.
You listened to my thoughts and fears,
and helped me wipe away my tears.
You helped me learn, respect, and love
to pray to God my Lord above.
You're the light in my darkness.
I hope you'll see...I LOVE YOU MOM FOR ETERNITY!
I love you mom,
you have ALWAYS been there for me
i am sooo lucky to have a mom that cares and loves me
i know i dont show that i care sometimes...but i do and i always will
thank you for being the light in my darkness
i love you mom

wow... this is lovely... you have quite the poet for a daughter... does she write poetry often? thanks for sharing this beautiful piece. i'm sure this goes right into the box of keepers! :-)
"Train up a child in the way he should go,and when he is old he will not turn from it." -Proverbs 22:6
How beautiful it is that your daughter knows the truth because of what you and Freddy have consistently poured into your childrens lives. They have a constant deep seeded support that they can and will always come back to because of the love of Christ that has always been shown to them. Thank you and Freddy for being an awesome example of that.
And thank you for sharing these precious words from Holly's heart. Give her a hug from me. Miss all of you.
that's beautiful. i'm sure you're a wonderful mom.
i hope to one day be able to be that sort of a mom to my daughter...if God were to bless me with one. :)
