randomy randomness
Does anybody remember licking the backs of gummy bears and sticking them to your shirt?
2 miracles that happened this week: (1) my chi started working again!! (2) we found out we have heat in our bedroom and Freddy's office. When the separate unit was installed for those 2 rooms we thought just the ac was hooked up--we were wrong--WOOHOO!!!
Today I went thru the drive-thru at Whataburger to get lunch for the kids and take it to school. When I was paying I payed for the car behind me too. I had no clue who the lady was, but I thought it would be fun. Good sneaky fun! I wanted to drive off before she got her order, but I had to pull forward and wait on mine. As she was leaving she rolled down her window and thanked me and said how much it blessed her. The cool part is that she said she was going to pay it forward and randomly bless someone else today! That's what it's all about!!

i never licked gummy bears and stuck them on shirts...but i LOVE to eat them... and so do my girls. i'll have to teach them that trick!
double woo-hoo for a working chi - that IS a miracle. i have been using a totally crappy one from wal-mart (a hand me down from my friend) that is JUST pathetic. my chi broke about six months ago. the plates fell off!! and yeah for heat. it's been CHILLY here...
and triple WOO-HOO for random acts of kindness - LOVE pay it forward. we do that kind of stuff a lot... here's one one of the most bizarre ones i can think of... we have to think out the box when it comes to our tithe - since we're not tied to a particular church - and so we had a hundred dollars cash on us, waiting on God's timing on where we should use it. we were eating out one night with the girls, and there were five college-aged boys sitting behind us. they were having a great time, great conversation, and didn't ONCE use any kind of "colorful" language. i can't tell you how many times we've been out to eat when young people are sitting near us and they're throwing out all kinds of words - not caring that we have three little ones in earshot.
so after we got done eating, i walked over to the table, and handed them each a 20 dollar bill. i thanked them for not using any nasty language in front of our children -that it was refreshing to just hear some boys having a fun time and having a great conversation. they looked at me strange, of course, and told me i didn't have to do that. i told them, yes, i did... that that had made my day.
anyway.... i love hearing stories like this. thanks, cara... it reminds me to think more out of the box, and think like this more often! :-)
