Benjamin starts driver's ed this week. I know he'll be 17 in March, but there was always a matter of $$, timing, etc. He's so excited. I guess I kinda am, too. I'm ready to have another driver in the house.
I'll be saying a prayer for your heart and your mind as you send him out...
My oldest will be 15 this year and she won't stop talking about her permit and drivers ed! Do they have the new rule there where the driver has to be a certain age to drive alone and cannot drive past a certain hour? They had that in Cali. and have similar laws here in Hawaii...I like these laws.
It seems so strange to hand our children keys and say: "Drive safe" doesn't it? I guess it is just one more step in the letting go process...seems more like a giant leap to me.
Definitely try to focus on the trips to the grocery store he will be making for you to pick up a gallon of milk and a pound of coffee! Think about how he will be pitching in to pick up his brother and sisters from school or softball practices...
