finally...
I bought this Christmas Cactus in November '05 after my sister died. It was beautiful and covered in blooms. Well, Christmas came and went this year with nothing from Mr. Cactus and now he's finally deciding to bloom.
Maybe he's a Valentine Cactus...

my grandmother adored cactus.... especially a christmas cactus. she lived in tuscon, arizona... that's where my mom is from. so, she must have passed her love of cactus to me. i love them as well. we have a huge cactus we've had since we've been married. we carry it with us wherever we go. it blooms bright yellow flowers. gorgeous. you can take cuttings off of it and plant them to make a whole new cactus. maybe i'll send you a cutting! :-) and you can grow one! would that be the weirdest thing you've ever received in the mail or what?? it would probably LOVE texas! YEE-HAW!
