This house is clean...

Let's face it--even though I don't work, it's HARD to keep up with all the housework that 6 of us create. I can never ever get on top of it and had resigned myself to the fact that my house will not be clean until our 4th child moves out. That is, until my brother-in-law took charge. He has a cleaning lady come to his house every week...and now he's paying her to come to ours once a week!!! Can you believe it?!? And, no, she doesn't look like this. Sorry, Freddy ;)! She does our living room, kitchen, and bathrooms from floor to ceiling. You should come over and run your fingers across our mini blinds--NOT A SPECK OF DUST!!!--I didn't want her to do bedrooms. I feel like the kids need to be responsible for their spaces. I don't want them thinking 'the maid'll do it'.

Thank you, Billy, for being so giving and gracious to us. What a tremendous help Millie has been to me.

***LICE REPORT***
2 days after the boys were infected Holly got it, too. So far, Melanie has escaped. They even closed the school down yesterday and today to treat the building. They were sending kids and teachers home left and right!!! How could they let it get out of hand like that? I'm a tad pissed. Frankly, I don't want to send them back at all and just homeschool them the rest of the year. They're going to a different school next year anyway. grrr.

I HATE LICE!!!

We've never had it but have had two major scares! Once back in 1998 and just three weeks ago!!!
My friends who moved to Hawaii brought Lice with them! They stayed with us for three weeks! EEEKS! Me and my girls washed our hair with the stuff and I treated my house like we had it...bagged/sprayed/washed everything and thankfully we escaped without being infected! WHEW!
My poor friends though...I felt so bad the daughter has long thick beautiful hair...what a chore.

Regarding the house cleaner...
I think there is something wrong with me because I would feel like I had to clean up before they came! I'm SICK! Darla and I were just talking about this the other day. (our clean freakiness and the thought of a maid) Your brother-in-law is awesome in his generosity!

Candace--what a miracle that y'all escaped unscathed! We're pretty surprised Melanie hasn't gotten it b/c she sleeps with Holly! But so far so good.

OK. I'm with you and Darla about cleaning before the cleaning lady comes...I do stay on top of things during the week. Mainly b/c it's easy to do that and I also don't want my kids thinking that we can be lazy because Millie's coming anyway. Ya know? I also 'pick up' right before she comes.

BTW, I LOVE what you've done with your new house--I am so excited for y'all! And Little Boo--there are no words to describe her level of cuteness!

Thanks, Jeff. I've heard that tea tree oil can alter hormone levels and actually cause breast enlargement in boys. Your thoughts? Not that it could be any worse than the pesticides I've been dousing them in!! Coconut shampoo and conditioner?!? I wonder how those are a preventative. I'll definitely have to do some more research.
